The rule that produced this list

Stated so you can disagree with it rather than with us: a document appears here if it is a Presidential Document, or the issuing agency flagged it significant under E.O. 12866, or it is a rule or proposed rule that carries a comment deadline or an effective date.

Nothing is filtered out of the full list below — this is an ordering, not a filter.

Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes

The FAA is revising a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2014-16-22 and AD 2017-25-13, which apply to certain Airbus SAS Model A330-200, A330-200 Freighter, A330-300, A340-200, A340-300, A340-500, and A340-600 series airplanes; and AD 2024-25-11, which applies to certain Airbus SAS Model A330-200, A330-200 Freighter, A330-300, A330-800 and A330-900 series airplanes. This action revises the NPRM by referencing later service information with new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations and expanding the applicability. The FAA is proposing this airworthiness directive (AD) to address the unsafe condition on these products. Since these actions would impose an additional burden over those in the NPRM, the FAA is requesting comments on this SNPRM.

Privacy Act of 1974; Implementation

In the Notice section of today's Federal Register, the Office of the Pardon Attorney (PARDON), a component within the United States Department of Justice (DOJ or Department), has published a notice of a new system of records, Firearms Rights Restoration Electronic Records Database (FRRERD), JUSTICE/OPA-002. In this notice of proposed rulemaking, PARDON proposes to exempt this system of records from certain provisions of the Privacy Act in order to safeguard confidential information compiled at various stages of the criminal law enforcement process; and compiled for the purpose of ensuring the integrity of the adjudicatory process involving eligibility and suitability determinations concerning the restoration of an applicant's federal firearms rights pursuant to 18 U.S.C. 925(c) and 28 CFR 107.1 et seq. For the reasons provided below, the Department proposes to amend its Privacy Act regulations by establishing an exemption for records in this system from certain provisions of the Privacy Act. RuleEnergy Department

Energy Conservation Program: Test Procedures for Commercial Warm Air Furnaces

The Department of Energy ("DOE" or "the Department") is withdrawing the test procedure for commercial warm air furnaces adopted under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act, specifically appendix B, "Uniform Test Method for Measurement of the Energy Efficiency of Commercial Warm Air Furnaces (Thermal Efficiency Two)." Upon reconsideration, DOE has determined that appendix B would have an uncertain increase in representativeness that does not outweigh the likely increase in burden. DOE has also determined that withdrawing the appendix B test procedure would be consistent with the proposed Process Rule, which states that for certain categories of equipment, including CWAFs, DOE will adopt the industry test procedure, as contemplated by EPCA, except in very limited circumstances. Commercial warm air furnaces will continue to be subject to the testing requirements of appendix A, "Uniform Test Method for Measurement of the Energy Efficiency of Commercial Warm Air Furnaces (Thermal Efficiency)."

Purchaser Credit on Timber Sale Contracts

The United States Department of Agriculture, Forest Service (Forest Service or Agency) is making purely technical, clarifying amendments to its existing regulations relating to timber purchaser credit in timber sale contracts on National Forest System lands. The authority to use purchaser credit ended in April 1999, and there are no timber contracts subject to this expired authority. This final rule removes sections regulating purchaser credit because these regulations are now obsolete. The removal is necessary to reflect the statutory repeal of purchaser credit authority after April 1, 1999, and the elimination of expired contractual provisions.

How these sentences are made

One machine-written sentence per agency, generated from the fields above and nothing else. Every numeral in a sentence has to appear in the source documents, checked by the same harness that gates our Consequence Cards.

A sentence that fails is withheld rather than published, so an agency with activity and no sentence here means the gate caught something. Copy carries attribution back to this page.
